Brazil and Portugal signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a PPH pilot project

On December 16, The Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office and the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to establish a pilot Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) project between the countries.
The main objective is to provide faster decisions on patent application processes filed at the Institutes. The PPH is planned for a period of five years.
