Profile
Bachelor of law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and post graduated in Civil Procedural Law from the same university. Master’s in Intellectual Property from the Universidad of Alicante (Spain) and with several specialization courses, such as Technology Transfer Contracts, Civil Procedure in Industrial Property, Software Contracts and Geographical Indications.
She participates in international congresses such as the Congress of the International Association of Trademarks (INTA), the Congress of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the International Intellectual Property Congress of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), including speaking at some congresses, such as OHIM Universities Network, Intellectual Property Institutes Network (EIPIN) and UAIPIT international Congress.
Luciana is a member of the INTA’s Non-Traditional Marks Committee, member of the Trade Secret and Geographical Indication Committees and IP expert in Brazil for The European IP Helpdesk Program since 2016.
She was recognized as one of the best trademark lawyers in Brazil by the Legal Elite 2021 and was recognized for her outstanding practice in the field of trademarks in Brazil by the Leaders League 2021, 2022 and 2023, by Best Lawyers 2023, as “Recommended Individuals” by WTR 1000 (World Trademark Review) 2023, and as IP Leader by WIPR (World IP Review) 2023.
After 10 years of experience in Industrial Property, she became a partner at Gruenbaum, Possinhas & Teixeira, in March 2014.
